Growing fast

Hi again,

As you may have seen from an earlier post, Kasper has been growing his own sunflowers this summer. They are nearly at the end of their season now but as you can see, they have grown really tall, as has the K man himself!

Ye Olde McMaths

Hi everyone,

Kasper and mummy recently enjoyed a 'Beverley 1900' event which saw us take a trip back in time. There were lots of things to do, including colouring, singing and dancing, but the thing we most enjoyed was getting dressed up in Victorian gear and having our portrait taken. We also met Alex for lunch (not pictured!).

Sledmere

Hi there,

Last Sunday we took advantage of a lovely sunny day to go on yet another picnic at Sledmere House where it was free to get in if you took a Teddy Bear. There was also a Teddy Bear trail that Kasper really enjoyed. He found all the 'Ted Teds' by himself and loved the walk around.

Flicks

Hi there,

Kasper really loves a film called Cars which Daddy bought him. He calls the main character 'Roar Roar' after Roary the Racing Car from another programme (they look similar, both are red!). So we decided to take him to see Cars 2 for his first cinema trip. We didn't quite make it to the end and Kasper was barely heavy enough to keep the seat down but we all enjoyed it nonetheless. Here he is having his photo taken.

Spurn point

Hi there,

We recently took Kasper out to Spurn Point as Daddy had never been there and wanted to see what it was like. It was very windy but we enjoyed a nice walk around and Kasper really enjoyed all the space to run about. Here are Kasper and Daddy enjoying their day.

Cooking on gas

Hi there,

As Kasper gets bigger, he likes to help with things around the house, including cooking. Unfortunately, when making his own sandwiches, he tends to eat the bread before they are finished! Here he is trying the oven gloves on for size.

We dig Driffield show

Hi there,

Despite it being a very rainy day, Mummy, Grandad and Kasper braved Driffield show courtesy of tickets from Grandma Jennie and Grandad Pat who couldn't make it. The highlight was a digger dancing show which Kasper really enjoyed. He also devoured most of the picnic which we ate undercover from the weather. Here you can see Grandad and Kasper are captivated by the show.

Transport

Hi again,

Having tried out a few trikes at the Teddy Bear's picnic, Kasper got Grandad to give him a ride on a trailer round the garden, he certainly seems to be enjoying himself (Grandad that is!).

Hot hot heat

Hi again,

We have enjoyed some lovely warm days this summer and Kasper has found a couple of ways of cooling off both in the garden and in the house! He especially loves his pool, bought by Grandad Bob and Grandma Jill, I think he just wishes it was a bit bigger so we could all get in with him. You can see him trying to persuade Daddy to dive in in one of these shots!

Today's the day

Hello everyone,

Kasper has enjoyed a couple of Teddy Bear's picnics this summer. The first was at the playgroup (or fight club as we call it) which he has been going to on a Monday afternoon during termtime. He got the chance to sit in a police car, decorate and eat his own teddy bear biscuit, play with lots of toys and ride a few different trikes.

Off again

Hi there,

A second day out at the races was with Grandma Jennie to a special family fun day. Kasper managed to get a balloon which caused him most amusement!

Racing

Hi there,

Kasper has enjoyed a couple of great days out at the races this season. Here he is checking out the going on the course and trying to outrun the nags!

Sign language

Hi there,

Mummy and Kasper are certainly creatures of habit. While Mummy enjoys pointing at a mildly amusing sign on days out, for Kasper, a trip just isn't the same without an ice cream. Here are us both doing what we do best.

Snooze

After all that excitement, Kasper was ready to catch up on some sleep on our return from holiday - as were Mummy and Daddy who needed some peace and quiet after the thrills and daredevil rides at Alton Towers. Here he is waking up from sleep.

Tram

Hi again,

Having covered the holiday highlights, we must also mention a bit of a lowlight - the National Tram museum at Crich. Everybody hated it, except Kasper that is, he loved it! We might have all enjoyed it if the pub in the living museum was open, but unbelievably, it was shut!

Holiday! Celebrate!

Hi again,

With a few short trips under his belt, Kasper couldn't wait to go on his first ever proper holiday to the Peak District. Everyone had a wonderful time and here are some highlights, including swimming in the pool, Alton Towers, Chatsworth and Carsington Water which was very near to where we stayed. "Best holiday ever", according to Daddy.
